Steve Sealey
Chairman

After stepping down from the board of Aquarius in 2012 to concentrate on other business interests, Steve Sealey took up the role of chairman in Hope Capital.

His role within Hope Capital, as well as being principle investor, is one of strategic guidance for the company and its board of directors.

Jonathan Sealey
CEO

Jonathan started Hope Capital in 2011 after working in property for over 9 years, and oversees the day to day running of the company.

Previously working for a property developer and a venture capital firm gave him the impetus to start up Hope Capital and merge the two skilled disciplines which he had developed throughout his working life: property and investment.

Kate Cowan
Financial Director

Kate joined Hope Capital in 2018 with over 10 years of post-qualification experience working in a range of industries as well as practice.

The variety of knowledge Kate has obtained allows her to provide a rounded approach to both the financial and non-financial information needed to ensure that Hope Capital obtains its strategic goals.

Brian Baker
Head of Operations

Brian is responsible for overseeing the business development of Hope Capital through development and management of broker relations throughout England and Wales.

Brian has been actively involved in the bridging finance industry for over twenty years both as a broker/introducer and also a senior business development manager for several highly respected bridging finance houses, and brings a wealth of experience from both sides of the fence.

Wayne Lee
Business Development Manager

Wayne is responsible for developing new business across the UK. He has worked in financial services for approximately 20 years.

Wayne has been a BDM previously, and has also handled bridging finance deals from start to finish through private funders as well as holding various positions with mortgage brokers and packagers. His experience of dealing with both brokers and clients, coupled with his industry experience enables him to understand broker requirements and deliver an excellent service

Maria Magnussen
Business Development Manager for London and the South

Maria is responsible for developing new business from London and the south. She has worked in financial services since leaving college many years ago.

Having worked in the specialist broking market, firstly as a broker and more recently as a business development manager, Maria has a wealth of experience working with brokers and their clients, and having been a broker herself, is fully aware of their needs and frustrations, making it easy for new and existing brokers to deal with Hope Capital.

  

Laura Carr
Head of Underwriting

Laura is responsible for supporting Hope Capital with the effective and efficient running of the underwriting department, ensuring a speedy response for borrowers and brokers.

Laura works closely with brokers and borrowers to ensure that all lending criteria is met, and to ensure that there is an effective relationship between all parties involved. This involves making sure that all the relevant documentation is obtained for sanction and to ensure that the process runs as smoothly as possible from beginning to end.

Pauline O’Gorman
HR & Office Manager

Pauline is responsible for the organisation of both the office and the board ensuring a speedy response of borrowers and investors.

Pauline has worked with various strategic project teams and believes that communicating with people and building relationships is key to achieving success.

Hayley Taylor
Marketing Manager

Hayley is responsible for improving the external perspective of Hope Capital through successful marketing campaigns, working together with the team and stakeholders to ensure the team is well equipped and deadlines are met.

Hayley has a wealth of experience within the financial services industry, working with a variety of clients from individuals to large corporates in obtaining credit sanction on a number of property deals, including manufacturing, retail, office and residential.

Sarah Cropper
Redemptions Manager

Sarah has worked in financial services for over 30 years and has experience in residential lending and legal services. She has worked mainly within the corporate sector, ensuring the highest level of customer service for her clients.

Her responsibilities are to work closely with the client and broker to ensure the timely redemption of the loans, along with working together with all parties to provide effective solutions.

Gemma Bancroft
Case Manager

Gemma’s responsibilities include working closely with brokers and clients during the application process, ensuring a smooth and quick turnaround for all parties.

Gemma has worked in financial services for fourteen years, mainly in the corporate sector and prides herself on delivering the best possible service to her clients.

 

Tracey North
Head of Business Development

 Tracey is responsible for liaising between the business development team and their broker network to ensure a speedy and efficient delivery of service. She is also a key member of the underwriting team, ensuring that all required information is received whilst providing a quick decision for the client.

Tracey has a wealth of experience gained during her 30 years in financial services. She has dealt with a variety of clients from private individuals through to large commercial operators in a number of sectors but with the emphasis on real estate lending and prides herself on the excellent customer service she delivers.

 

Yvonne Dunn
Admin Assistant

 Yvonne brings many years of administrative experience to the team and helps prioritise the daily workloads effectively by providing financial and administrative support to the underwriting team and by maintaining up to date and accurate case data.

She is very passionate about providing excellent service to all clients and her organisational and communication skills help assist with the smooth running of the office.

 

Georgina Roscoe
Personal & Executive Assistant to CEO

Georgina’s main responsibilities include supporting the CEO in his activity to achieve the goals of the business.

Georgina is a seasoned executive assistant with over 20 years in the field. She has extensive experience with all administrative tasks, including event management and has held positions at  international law firms in the City of London. Georgina is able to tailor her skills to meet the needs of the business and clients alike.

 

Joanne McGillicuddy
Underwriting Assistant

Joanne provides financial and administrative support to the underwriting team, to maintain up to date and accurate case data and ensure that all data meets data protection requirements. She is responsible for issuing terms to clients and brokers, preparing correspondence to clients and solicitors and building and maintaining effective relationships with internal BDMS/brokers/clients.

During Joanne’s considerable career in financial services, she excelled in working to tight time constraints demonstrating a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail and proactively liaising with internal departments and stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met.
